Our Story

A National Technology Mission

The Jordan Gaming & Emerging Technologies Lab was established in 2011 as a Royal initiative by His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, implemented by the King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD).

What began as an incubator for Jordanian game developers has grown into a national network of eight specialized labs across seven governorates — serving students, young professionals, and aspiring tech entrepreneurs.

Today, under its expanded identity, JET goes beyond mobile game development into AI, virtual reality, augmented reality, simulation, and startup incubation — positioning Jordan as a premier regional hub for the digital economy.

Our Foundation

King Abdullah II Fund for Development

KAFD is the national development organization that founded and oversees JET. Through strategic initiatives in youth empowerment, technology, and economic development, KAFD drives Jordan's transformation into a knowledge-based economy.

JET represents KAFD's commitment to positioning Jordan as a regional leader in gaming and emerging technologies — creating high-value jobs, fostering innovation, and building a sustainable tech ecosystem.

JET's network spans Jordan from north to south, ensuring that geography is never a barrier to opportunity. Each lab is equipped with high-end workstations, professional software, and dedicated trainers.

Students in Irbid, Zarqa, Mafraq, Karak, Tafilah, Aqaba, and Amman all have access to the same world-class facilities, curriculum, and AI-powered learning tools.
